Up to $35 million was available for the installation of new - or the expansion of - electric chargers and infrastructure. Up to 80 percent of funding will be reserved for Air District priority areas, which include AB 617 communities and Disadvantaged and Low-Income Communities. Funding was for the installation and operation of permanent electric infrastructure that will spur the adoption of zero-emission vehicles and equipment in the Bay Area, expedite air quality improvements and the transition to zero-emission in Priority Communities, and be placed into service by early 2028.
